For our third installment of Freda's weekly tuesday Audio/Visual performance nights we welcome Motte from New Zealand and X-Pop from around the corner to present two live sets joined by a DVD screening of animations and short films
Motte is the moniker of New Zealand solo artist Anita Clark. At once soothing and disorienting, or riding the thin line between beautiful and uneasiness, she creates layers of reverb swamped loop violin and dream like vocals into a cinematic soundscape, conjuring the impression of being lost in the tropics or inside a hothouse full of moths.
X-Pop is exactly that, Experimental Pop. Using keyboard, vocal and handmade percussive lathe instruments X-Pop use found text and absurdity to create a world of their own.
A poll for DVD choice will emerge closer to the date, expect short film, experimental, DIY and animation
