Vivid New Music at the Con 2017 is a festival of genre-bending new music produced by the best of the Sydney Conservatorium of Music’s home-grown and guest composers, jazz and contemporary musicians over the three weeks of Vivid Sydney 2017.

7pm - An Exponential History of Me - Conservatorium Recital Hall East

Conceived by composer Henry Hulme, An Exponential History of Me is a reflection of the nature of memory and how it can be presented in a musical setting. *World premiere

8.00pm - EcoSono & Erik Griswold - Conservatorium Recital Hall West

International guests EcoSono Ensemble present award-winning virtuosic ecoacoustic and improvisational works by Matthew Burtner and Glen Whitehead, along with Erik Griswold of Clocked Out from Brisbane. Hear what environmental approaches to contemporary music sound like.

Program – UNESCO commissioned work for Fraser Island and Lake Cootharaba, Golden Sparrow, Syntax of Snow, Nocturne (Music for a Moth Cinema), Mysticetti, and other works by Erik Griswold
