Romano Crivici, keyboards, is one of Australia’s leading contemporary composer/performers (violin and piano). Crivici, a former member of the Sydney Symphony Orchestra and the New England String Quartet, is most known as composer, director and violinist with his groundbreaking electric string quartet Elektra and Elektra Collektiv, which is about to release a new album of his work for didjeridu, string quartet and percussion.
Andy Rantzen, voice, is best known for his work with electronic dance duo Itch-E & Scratch-E. Outside of the group his musical output has included the industrial/ambient dub hybrid Pelican Daughters, electro-punk group Cherry2000 and a eclectic series of solo albums ranging from melodic electro to spoken word. Much of his new material has been released in recent years by Sydney label 4-4-2 Music. At the same time, Belgium's Forced Nostalgia and California's Silent Records have been reissuing his 80's and 90's archival material, UK's Spinning Plates (solo) andTenzenmen (with Jochen Gutsch), and was awarded the Jackie Orszaczky Composition Competition prize alongside collaborator David Sudmalis. His new album, 'Worthless Offerings', has just been released.
They'll be joined by Carla Thackrah , electric flute and voice, ex-AZ Music, Sydney Symphony Orchestra, Australian Opera and Ballet Orchestra, Lindsay Kemp Dance Company, Tango Paradiso, and Rudi Crivici, electric viola, ex- Sydney Symphony Orchestra, Elektra String Quartet and Love Mongrels, who has recently released his album Speep.
