The penultimate NOW now for 2018, we're excited to present a night of divergent ideas and remarkable collaborations for your experiential pleasure. 

Featuring a night of spontaneous inventions, compositions and other things you would otherwise miss. 

Two extended sets from 7:30. 

MP Hopkins: voice, tape, electronics
MP Hopkins lives and works on Gadigal land. Employing field recordings, voice, and electronics, Hopkins' work is characterised by odd atmospheres and vocal murmurings that drift, clamour, muffle, and sit.

Hopkins has released recordings via Penultimate Press, Canti Magnetici, Tahalamos, Albert's Basement, Mappa Editions, and Aussenraum Records. He has performed in the UK, Italy, Greece, Belgium, Singapore, and throughout Australia.

Microfiche are an improvising ensemble whose music explores the meeting points of improvisation and composition, through miniatures less than a minute long to durational works of up to thirty minutes. 

The band launched its debut album in December 2016 with a follow-up live EP released in mid 2017. Their NOW now set will be their first performance of 2018 and will feature a mixture of old and new music with a large dose of group improvisation.
