Nicola Morton - Liliana Occhiuto - Ailsa Liu
Nicola Morton is a facilitator at All Girl Electronic (2016-2018), a program for young women, trans and non-binary youth from Western Sydney. For this event she will be getting up and performing with sound projects of AGE participants, Ailsa Liu and Liliana Occhiuto. Nicola Morton will perform a set of improvised dance music using modulated bass lines, drum machine and lo-fi vocal sampling.
The performance will revolve around discipline and utilising the edge zone of ones control as a tool for instant composition.
The Splinter Orchestra is a large-scale electro-acoustic improvising ensemble based in Sydney. Every Splinter Orchestra performance unfolds a unique improvisational sonic ecology combining highly developed music skills with thoroughly experimental sound-making and an intuitive compositional repertoire built from years of collective engagement.
Sonya’s practice is based around the presentation of exploratory vocal music; from improvisation to pre-composed vocal works spanning centuries, genres and cultural contexts. She utilises a vast range of techniques to highlight the fullest capabilities of the voice, with a particular interest in its capacity to express the inexpressible.
Score Club - (band) - Megan Clune - Matthew Hopkins - Andrew Fedorovitch
Score Club is a group of artists, musicians and composers exploring text-based scores as a provocation for music and art making. Their interest lies with the score as a conduit, as well it’s potential to break down the boundaries and hierarchies between subject and object amongst notions of author/performer/audience.
Jim Denley - Amanda Stewart
Join Jim Denley and Amanda Stewart on a sound walk through the surrounding King Cross environment.
Danny Wild is an Audio Visual artist living and working in Sydney, Australia. His work explores routine and daily living on an absurd and microscopic level. Danny often transforms mundane moments into sublime and surreal experiences. Danny will be creating a video installation collage work that explores Sydney’s landscape and history in a playful and abstracted way.
Peter Blamey will create a sound installation powered and triggered by solar energy. His work explores sound, energies and residues, and the relationships between people, technologies and environments.
