Jasmine Guffond is a sound artist and composer working at the interface of social, political and technical infrastructures. Through the sonification of data she addresses the potential for sound to engage with contemporary political questions. She has exhibited and performed live internationally, and recorded music for the Dual Plover, Staubgold, Monika Enterprise and Sonic Pieces labels. 

Utlising sounds she has generated via digital surveillance technologies, Jasmine draws sonic portraits that capture what normally eludes human perception, turning peripheral data into deeply engaging compositions. Her music draws upon influences from experimental electronic, techno, song, and avant-garde. Standing between waves of drone and minimal repetition, a surprising melodic twist into song or a fragile implosion into spectral noise, her live performance is both universal in scope and intimate in effect.

Sydney’s Monika Brooks has modelled sound works, compositions, and improvisations from piano, computer, field recordings, glasses, radio, and accordion. As a performer she has collaborated with various fabulous folks such as Jim Denley, Dale Gorfinkel, Herminone Johnson, Chris Abrahams, Robbie Avenaim, Kraig Grady, Richard Nuns, Eugene Chadbourne and Joe Talia.
