Spartak
https://spartakmusic.bandcamp.com/album/i-fought-the-style
Tangents bandmates Shoeb Ahmad and Evan Dorrian return to the live stage at the sounds unsound for their now annual "once in a blue moon" Spartak performance. A decade old in their long time collaboration, Ahmad and Dorrian only think about how they move from point a to point b with their guitar, drums and electronics set-up. Could it be sound art? Could be anti-rock? Could it weird pop? it could be anything but one thing is for sure, it is Spartak music.

Hayden Ryan Ensemble
The Interpretation Ensemble is a project intended to create an indeterminate sonic space in which performers can communicate and contrast one another. This is created by having performers interpret a conductor's hand gestures created by Hayden and taken from other similar projects such as ‘Lawrence D. Butch Morris’ conduction theory and even ‘John Zorn’ game pieces.

Swansea Hit and Run
https://soundcloud.com/user-510729448/sets/waterline
Swansea Hit and Run are a two piece outfit formed by songwriter Phil Stallard (Legendary sea apes) and record producer John Cobbin(Beastie Boys and Midnight Oil amongst others). They play stripped down visceral evocations of pure yum. Swansea Hit and Run diverge from their usual set for this Sounds Unsound gig, playing soundscapes written for Phil’s latest solo art exhibition. It will be a set of electronica abstractions using samplers and modulated synths, creating a landscape punctuated by John's guitar improvisations.

LIVING SCIENCE Dept. (Colum Skeleton)
Projectionist extraordinaire for the legendary Scattered Order.

Matthew Syres'
https://matthewsyres.bandcamp.com/
Founding member of Sydney group Forenzics, Matthew has an eccentric and unusual approach to the guitar, using multiple effects, delays and looping to build complex improvised sonic textures informed by noise, post-rock, industrial and soundscape music. Here he plays an optical theremin, open jack and contact mic to create subtle textured soundscape interludes between sets.
