Gail Priest is a Katoomba/Sydney-based artist with a multi-faceted practice in which sound is the key material of communication and investigation. In her live performance she uses field recordings, processed voice and noise to explore the interaction of the figurative and the abstract, the machinic and the organic, the sensual and the brutal. Her practice encompasses performance, recording, sound design for dance and theatre, installation, curation and writing.

Silent Towns is a spoken word electronica duo based in Sydney. Poet Peter Roads and musician Alicia May use beats, words, atmospheres and instinct to explore a rich tapestry of emotional landscapes and challenging ideas. Collaborative in nature, they’re often joined by exciting and diverse musicians, ensuring that their heavily improvised sets are never quite the same. This time they’re joined by Warner Hunt. A fascinating composer and artist, Warner Hunt paints incredible soundscapes with his modular synth and Silent Towns can't wait to collide with his bone rumbling bass and beautiful, diverse palette of sounds.

Founding member of Sydney group Forenzics and Syntax Error, Matthew has an eccentric and unusual approach to the guitar, using multiple effects, delays and looping to build complex improvised sonic textures informed by noise, post-rock, industrial and soundscape music. Here he plays an optical theremin, open jack and contact mic to create subtle textured soundscape interludes between sets.
