The SMASH BROS project is nearly a year old now, a duo demonstrating the unique rapport that these two instrumentalists share, having played together for over 10 years in a range of different enterprises including Sydney icons Prophets and the Splinter Orchestra.
Smash Bros make high energy, trance-like improvisations, combining effortlessness and complexity, free-jazz meets funk. Saxophone calls squeak, buzz and pop, weaving in and out of scattered polyrhythms, guaranteeing an evening of exciting and uplifting listening.
