Each concert we are presenting as part of Light Qualities takes its title from a different method of photo manipulation.
The third concert, ‘Contrast’ (the difference between the lightest and darkest tones) will take listeners into the realm of solo, electroacoustic and improvised music. There will be a variety of works written and performed by members of the Konzertprojekt collective, as well as guest composers Ben Robinson and Maddy Briggs. The concert, consisting of saxophones, euphoniums, poetry, live electroacoustic sounds and audiovisual works, will provide an exciting and varied program for audiences to enjoy.
Rhys Little and Shaun Premnath from Konzertprojekt will each write new works in response to the idea of ‘Contrast’, which will be premiered on the night.
