Defektro is a band characterized by harsh machine produced junk metal sounds, who have performed together for over 20 years. Formed in Tokyo, Japan, Defektro, from time to time, comprises 3 persons in a many machine noise unit, but a lot of the time Hirofumi Uchino performs Defektro a solo unit. A futuristic Dr Frankenstien, Hirofumi is the evil mastermind and father of the machines invented for Defektro. The sound is produced by the machines, noise instruments and sonic weapons then sampled, effectively chewed up and spat out for the pleasure of the audience.

Peter Blamey is a Sydney-based artist. His practice is often sound-focussed and accomplished with a minimum of means, and includes performances, videos, recordings and installations. Broadly speaking, his work explores (amongst other things) the interconnected themes of energies and residues, often through reimagining our everyday encounters with mundane materials and technologies and the physical world, and our experiences of energy generation, use and wastage.

rORSCHACH cLIMAX eNSEMBLE are an insubordinate band. It has 5 people in it and it tries to be good but doesn't work well within cohesive, conservative traditions. By the time it realised this about itself it was too late to change, so it tries to write bios about itself but it doesn't come out normal. It has an erhu in it, a flute and it has a saxophone, and a double bass and 2 drumsets and a guitar. The branding of the band is free improv mixed with written woodwind sections.

Band of insubordinates
Jinu joo - Sax
Elizabeth Cheung - Erhu, Flute
Dirk Kruithof - Double Bass
Leon Pateman - Drums
Mark Hall - Guitar, Percussion
