Presented by All The Best and Read To Me, (Extra)ordinary Tales #2 is a storytelling night that brings together audio and visual artists to explore the magic, humour, heartbreak and mystery hidden in everyday life. 

All The Best is a weekly narrative audio show and podcast made by emerging Australian storytellers, supported by fbi.radio.

Read To Me is a community of visual storytellers where illustrators and writers share the stage.

Jay De Leon Lagman

An animator and Illustrator based in Sydney, Australia. Silly comic maker with even sillier stories.

Matthew Forbes

Matt Forbes is a musician/creative living and working on Gadigal land. He has worked extensively in theatre, contributing to productions across numerous Sydney venues such as the Old Fitz (‘Selkie’, 2025) and New Theatre (‘Shakespeare In Love’, 2024).

Anna Outridge

Anna is an illustrator, animator, and educator. When she’s not making short films, or creating comics under the pseudonym of her cat, Galaxy Goggins, she’s in the classroom teaching some of the funniest humans alive (high school students) about art and filmmaking.

Elizabeth Jigalin

Elizabeth Jigalin is a composer, artist and performer. In her work, she is often drawn to explore site specific music-making, interactive play spaces, and found materials. Guided by curiosity, Elizabeth collaborates and creates across art-forms. You’ll often find Elizabeth making music with award-winning, creative music collective ‘the music box project'.

Lucille MacKellar

Lucille is an award-winning writer, comedian and hater from Gadigal Land. Her critically acclaimed debut solo comedy show, a delicious cocktail of queer politics, pop culture commentary and capitalism condemnation titled 'Lucille MacKellar Has Boy Problems', toured Melbourne, Sydney, Newcastle and Adelaide at the start of 2025.

Tayla Colley

Tayla is a Sydney based comic artist and animator who uses most of her fingers to draw, she is very self conscious of her pinkies though so under no circumstances should you ask her to show them to you!

Zac Blue

Zac is a Sydney based writer and poet. He has always been fascinated by how we communicate, and works as a Speech Pathologist helping others to tell their own stories. Zac has previously been a creative contributor to both magazines and academic journals.

Connor Xia

Connor Xia is an educator based on Unceded Gadigal land, teaching Animation production at UTS and running workshops in sites such as the Japan Foundation and Bankstown Arts Center. As a Chinese Australia illustrator and animator, he has exhibited with Sydney Vivid, First draft, Pari, Cool Change, and goodspace.

Albert Lin

Albert Lin is a spoken-word poet, musician, general jack-of-all-trades, and person with a day job. He doesn’t take himself very seriously, and thinks the same of his work. His work focuses on love and wonder and joy, while exploring his life and emotions.

Millie Jones
Millie is an illustrator with a shape-shifting style and an enduring love for storytelling. A returning Read To Me contributor, she brings curiosity and joy to every collaboration.
