An evening of ambient, immersive and exploratory music across three acts.
Laura Altman is based in Sydney on Gadigal and Wangal Country. She has woven her way through improvised, exploratory and folk music scenes with intuitive clarinet playing, free improvisation and composition. Laura is a long-standing member of a wide range of ensembles, including the improvising collective Splinter Orchestra and the internationally acclaimed trio Great Waitress with Monica Brooks and Magda Mayas. In recent years she has developed a solo improvisation practice shaped by a deep curiosity for resonance and feedback. Her first solo release, Holy Trinity on Relative Pitch Records (2025), is described “like a warm blanket that continually covers the cracks and wraps itself around us,” Brad Rose, Foxy Digitalis. Across the album Laura crafts pieces that are delicate and textural yet bold and expressive, reflecting both the unique acoustics of the space and her subtle, inquisitive approach to sound — blurring the line between instrument, environment and intervention, and offering a contemplative, tactile listening experience.
Land Systems is the melodic ambient project of Eora/Sydney-based producer Nathan Moas. His music explores the more ethereal aspects of ambient music, combining slow-evolving melodies with lush effect processing. Central to the project is a eurorack modular synthesizer that is sequenced and looped, allowing his performances to be improvised and exploratory.

Jacqui O’Reilly is an artist and musician from Aotearoa New Zealand, now based on Gadigal Land. Her experimental practice investigates identity, place and sensory perception with a focus on sound as material, to explore social and environmental relations. O’Reilly’s work is embedded in her lifelong experience of creative adaptation, to voice sensory interconnection in deeply nuanced ways. Intimate communication with her materials and hypnotic, repetitive methods of making using voice, synth and sculptured reverb, shape the composition of mesmerising music.
