Alex Jasprizza is a Sydney based saxophonist and composer. Known for creating immersive live performances that meld field-recordings with ambient soundscapes and electronics, Alex’s music has received critical acclaim from across the music community, with tracks from debut album Waterways nominated in the Wettest 100 (Australia's top fan-voted left field tracks), and receiving airtime on NTS, BBC6, FBi Radio, 2SER, Cashmere Radio, PBS and 4ZZ.

Alex is a member of the art-folk-rock act Beryl and has worked with a host of artists across the local scene, including Jerome Blaze, Romaeo and Sarah Levins. For this special one-off performance at The Church, Alex will be bringing together some of the city’s most accomplished improvisors, with an ensemble featuring Hinano Fujisaki, Felix Bornholdt and Holly Conner.
