Filipino-Australian saxophonist Justinn Lu returns to his hometown after six years of study at the Melbourne Conservatorium of Music to present a full-length recital with acclaimed pianist Peter de Jager.

This intimate program blends cornerstone works of the saxophone repertoire with contemporary gems that are rarely heard in Australia. At its heart is Henri Tomasi’s Ballade, presented alongside Suzanne Malard’s evocative poem, offering a powerful exploration of narrative and emotional depth through music.
