Dennis van Rooyen is a classical and electric guitarist interested in the potentialities of composed and improvised music in a curated context.

He is currently completing a Masters of Guitar at the Musikhochschule Lübeck, with Professors Otto Tolonen and Nicola Hein.

Recent highlights include a tour with Fausto Romitelli’s video opera An Index of Metals in South East Asia, led by Peter Veale, as well as the the premiere of Bernd Redmann’s Danses Rituelles for chamber ensemble. He also performed the at the METRIC Symposium at the Sibelius Academy, Helsinki and Next Generation_X Symposium at the ZKM Karlsruhe.
